Summary:
Performs assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical components, including modules, boards, panels, frames, and cables.
Duties include initial layouts, assembly, inspection, and rework of assemblies using diagrams, drawings, hand tools, and power tools.
This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, high-paced environment.
Assemble and inspect electronic/mechanical assemblies following diagrams and drawings.
Verify part placement using microscopes and align parts for soldering.
Perform post-reflow inspection and touch-up, addressing solder defects (e.g., shorts, voids, misalignments).
Disassemble, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies.
Conduct quality checks in line with specifications and standards.
Maintain a fast-paced workflow, including occasional overtime, while focusing on detailed tasks.
Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years in a similar role, with advanced surface mount (SMT) and fine-pitch soldering skills.
Proficient in solder repair under a microscope for extended periods.
Knowledge of SMT components, IPC-A-610, and IPC-J-STD standards.
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.
Strong communication, organizational abilities, and teamwork focus.
Basic computer skills with experience using Windows-based programs.
Must excel in identifying and correcting soldering defects such as shorts, voids, and misaligned components.
Ability to sit for extended periods and work on repetitive tasks with precision.
