Job Title: Aircraft A&P Mechanical TechnicianJob Description
We are looking for an experienced A&P Mechanic for a Part 135 operation. The ideal candidate will have experience with helicopters, specifically Bell 429, and hold an FAA A&P license. The role requires working a 40-hour work week with potential for call-ins, flexible hours, and overtime. Candidates must be organized, able to work both as a team member and independently, and capable of reading and navigating through maintenance and electronic manuals. The job also involves travel between bases and may include additional responsibilities such as aircraft parts management and fuel farm inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Bell 429 helicopters.
- Read and navigate through maintenance and electronic manuals.
- Travel between bases as needed.
- Manage aircraft parts and conduct fuel farm inspections.
- Perform everyday inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, including electrical and avionic systems.
Essential Skills- FAA A&P license.
- Experience with helicopters, specifically Bell 429.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Capability to read and navigate through maintenance and electronic manuals.
- Organized and able to work both as a team member and independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Turbine helicopter experience.
- Experience with Garmin 650/750 and the G series radios.
- Experience with Pratt & Whitney Engines.
- Possess a basic set of hand tools (e.g., power drill, multimeter, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, ratchets, and sockets in various sizes).
- Responsible for keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly.
- Ability to convey written and verbal information accurately.
- Ability to arrange objects or actions in a specific order or pattern according to rules or checklists.
- Perform tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.

Work Environment
The position is based in a hangar environment as part of a rescue flight center. Downtime is costly both financially and in terms of service calls, emphasizing the importance of timely and efficient work. Dress code is casual but appropriate for a professional hangar setting.
