Duties & Responsibilities:
The Aircraft Cleaner reports directly to the Interior Mechanic Lead Man.
Typical interior cleaning tasks which, may be performed in conjunction with the exterior cleaning of the aircraft:
Aircraft cleaner’s usually clean cabin area by vacuuming, dusting, and washing parts of the aircraft, also replenishes lavatory supplies, magazines, and other passengers’ conveniences. Uses equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops, cleaning cloths, special shampooing equipment, standard cleaning compounds, and special chemicals to remove stains; Notifies supervisor of any damaged seats or other equipment needing repair.
Perform the cleaning of the aircraft, interior and exterior, in accordance with the manufacturer’s manuals, Commercial Jet’s Maintenance Manual and FAA requirements. Work must be performed in the interest of safety of flight. Keep tools and support equipment in safe operational conditions at all times. Wear eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while on flight line, on hangar floor, or in the area of operating machinery or power tools.Responsible to keep assigned work areas clean and free of hazardous or unsafe conditions. High School Diploma or GEDAny combination of education and experience enabling one to perform job functions.
Requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing. Mist be able to lift and/or pull objects weighing at least 50 lbs. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
