Job Description:

The Helicopter Component Repair and Overhaul Technician will inspect, test, repair, and overhaul helicopter components and parts at our FAA 145-certified repair station. This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.

  • Disassembles, cleans, inspects, repairs, and overhauls various light helicopter components and parts.
  • Inspect aircraft to identify defects or discrepancies and determine appropriate repair procedures in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals and FAA regulations.
  • Overhauls major components such as transmissions and rotor systems.
  • Conduct functional checks and bench tests as required by OEM.
  • Maintains detailed records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, and overhauls. Document work performed, parts used, and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensures all work is performed in accordance with the OEM, Repair Station, and pertinent FAA regulations.
  • Must possess Mechanical Aptitude, Time Management, Project Management, Teamwork Orientation, and Problem-Solving Ability.
Job Requirements:
  • A&P Certificate under 14 CFR § 65.81, 65.85, 65.87, or 65.103 preferred.
  • Possesses at least 12 months of aircraft component repair and overhaul experience preferred. Willing to train the right person.
  • Experience within a part 145 repair station is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and FAA-regulated drug test before starting.
  • Post-employment will be enrolled in our Safety Sensitive Drug and Alcohol Program.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
