Summary:
Install aircraft parts and components, ensuring all work meets required specifications.
Manage parts and their disposition, using proper documentation and control.
Instruct and assist team members with blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure quality and efficiency in own installations, including repairs and rework.
Troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues.
Maintain logs and records, supporting continuous improvement processes.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area, supporting FOD and 5S programs.
May assist with aircraft certification and flight tests as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
5 years of aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.)
2 years aircraft experience preferred
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
Ability to solve dimensional problems using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
Proficient with measuring devices and within specified tolerances.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Skilled in close tolerance work, including drilling, reaming, and ship fitting.
Capable of using all necessary tools and equipment.
Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, fixtures, and jigs.
Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
