The Opportunity
Become a part of our dynamic Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.
This role presents a unique opportunity to join a highly professional team whilst working on advanced military airlift capabilities such as the prestigious C-17A Globemaster. This will be in support of the Royal Australian Airforce.

Responsibilities
As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you and your team will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and mentorship of subordinate technicians.
Experience/Qualifications - (Essential)
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- Demonstrate an understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen to be able to possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
Experience/Qualifications - (Desirable)
- Previous experience as a maintenance certifier / trade supervisor.
- Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
- Have a working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems.
- Hold a C class drivers license.
Security Clearance
If you do not already hold a Clearance, you will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting One) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
