FEAM Aero is taking applications to participate in an individual internship via the Army Career Skills Program (CSP). A successful CSP participant will participate fully with the training given by FEAM and stay connected with your home base on your progress and satisfaction of the course. 

What you will achieve during your internship:

  • FAA recognized courses on Boeing & Airbus aircraft. 
  • Visual Inspections and Daily Checks/Inspections of mechanical components on wide-body commercial airliners. 
  • Inspect structural components of vehicles to identify problems.
  • How to perform routine maintenance tasks servicing
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development, or operation activities to perform maintenance or repairs.
  • Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
  • Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
  • Read work orders or descriptions of problems to determine repairs or modifications needed.
  • How to document aircraft maintenance logbook entries and non-routine entries.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper functioning.
  • Communicate with coworkers to coordinate installations or repairs.
  • Knowledge to help you pass the Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) examination. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be within 18 Months Expiry Term of Service (ETS) from active duty. 
  • Must pass DOT drug & alcohol test. 
  • Ability to pass airport badging requirements.
  • Valid state driver’s license. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, in English, both written and verbally. 
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places and lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposed to loud noises.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license. 
  • Have 36 months of military experience as an aircraft technician fixed/rotary wing. 
  • A military specialty code to qualify for an approved FAA Form 8610-2 by an FAA Inspector. 
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
