Contracting Organization: Air PMA-276 Light Attack Aircraft Management Program (LAAMP)
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanic III personnel to support the H-1 aircraft maintenance program at MCAS Camp Pendleton. This role involves leading a team in aircraft inspections, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, and complex repairs. The Aircraft Mechanic III is responsible for providing technical guidance, supervision, and quality control over maintenance operations while ensuring compliance with all technical directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise aircraft maintenance teams performing inspections, repairs, and modifications.
- Perform and oversee maintenance on flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
- Apply expert knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) policies and procedures.
- Maintain and document aircraft logs and records accurately.
- Utilize specialized aircraft tools such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and sheet metal brakes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to structural and mechanical engineers.
