Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic
Job DescriptionJoin our team as an Aircraft Mechanic working on aircraft conversion programs and heavy maintenance. This role involves primarily converting Q400 aircraft for aerial firefighting and performing basic mechanical work, including engine checks, wheel changes, structural inspections, and overall repairs. This is a short-term position needed until the end of March. You must be willing to work in different facilities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance and aircraft conversions, primarily on Q400 aircraft for aerial firefighting.
- Conduct engine checks, wheel changes, structural inspections, and overall repairs.
- Work in various divisions and facilities as required.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure aircraft functionality.
Essential Skills- 5+ years of heavy maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of aircraft mechanical experience.
- Versatility to work across different areas within the facility, with a focus on heavy maintenance.
- Experience with multiple aircraft types, particularly the Q400.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on aircraft.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Dash 8 Q400 or other Dash 8 models.
- Experience with turbo props, electrical, and avionics repair.
- Experience working in northern regions (e.g., Yukon, NW territories) is beneficial.
- 5+ years of experience with 737 aircraft.
- Licensure is preferred but not required.
- Strong soft skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a positive attitude.

Work Environment
The team consists of 5-6 people working under rotating team leads. You will need to bring basic tooling with you. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Compensation includes a daily allowance, LOA, and travel expenses.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00
