Aerotek is seeking Aircraft Structures Mechanics in Bridgewater, VA for long term contract-to-permanent positions.
Description:
- Shoot and buck rivets to specifications
- Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness
- Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices
- Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure
- Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials
- Perform repairs to the aircraft along with determine which repairs can or cannot be made
- Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions
- Effectively document job completion paperwork
Performance Expectations:
Individuals will be working in a heavy MRO environment and will be provided work orders each day. They are expected to perform the work in the designated time. Our client specifically is big on quality and they expect individuals to operate with this in mind but to also do the job right and minimize re-work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-4+ years aircraft structures experience
-Experience with fixed wing aircraft
-DCMA/Military environment experience preferred
-Must provide own tools
Monday -Friday 7am-4pm, with a 1hr lunch break
6 Month Contract-to-Permanent Position
$42.00/hour
