JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic I - Entry Level

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Assemble and fit parts, perform drilling and riveting to ensure parts meet requirements.
Use tools like riveting guns, pneumatic drills, and countersinks to rivet structural assemblies.
Read work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets to determine assembly details.
Check work for defects before final inspection.
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners.
Keep work area clean and organized, comply with safety regulations.
Support Lean Activities and company 5S Program.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
1 year of experience credit for graduates of the Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret basic documents.
Basic computer and shop math skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in small spaces, and climb ladders/stairs.
Ability to work any shift and handle composite materials.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and safety practices.
