Summary:
Safely assemble and fit parts, perform drilling, riveting, sheet metal layout, and fabrication on aircraft structures.
Use tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and files for structural assembly.
Ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards by reading blueprints, operation sheets, and work orders.
Perform repairs and rework based on Discrepant Material Tags (DMT) and Production Change Orders (PCO).
Maintain accurate records and logs, ensuring proper job charging and compliance with safety regulations.
Utilize jigs, clamps, and fasteners for assembly, and shape materials to blueprint specifications.
Safely dispose of waste materials like fuel, oil, and fluids.
Support Lean activities and assist in maintaining shop equipment.
Participate in shift handovers and coordinate work activities with leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
2 years of related structural assembly experience
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Basic computer and shop math skills.
Ability to work with composite materials.
Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and work any shift.
Must have strong attention to detail, professionalism, and safety awareness.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
