The role: Aircraft Technician
To support the Outsourced Maintenance Technical Representative to deliver Base Maintenance checks at Outsourced/External MRO’s
What you’ll do:
- Will take every opportunity as necessary to extend knowledge and skills base with training and experience.
- Support Planning by ensuring completion of tasks to agreed timescales.
- Maintain a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health and safety and housekeeping standards.
- Carry out computer and documentary transactions as required.
- Support the development of a high-performance team and culture, in line with the company hallmarks.
- Support the delivery of departmental and directorate objectives in line with company hallmarks working flexibly to support maintenance activities that may include transporting, positioning and delivering components, material and equipment.
- Requirement to work overseas for extended periods
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Good IT literacy
- Good knowledge of engineering procedures and technical documentation and ability to comprehend technical publications.
- Highly self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good Prioritisation, planning and organisation
- Problem solving and acting on own initiative.
- Technical decision making
- Working to deadlines, company standards and values
- Demonstrates good airmanship.
Your experience:
- Applicant shall hold an CAA 66 Cat A or Cat B1/2 licence.
- Valid full UK driving licence (or equivalent) (desirable)
- Ability to hold airport restricted zone access
- Ability to hold an airside driving licence (desirable)
