Aerotek Aviation is looking to hire entry level mechanics with an a&p license for a contract to hire position in Miami, Florida.
Job Description
We are the leader in aircraft line maintenance and engineering in the U.S. leading the line maintenance industry with advanced aircraft repair capabilities, a wide line station network, and vast approvals for all current and next-generation aircraft. Placing special emphasis on technical training, uncompromising quality controls, and continuous improvement principles. With these effective measures in place, delivering innovative technical services for all commercial aircraft operators. The role involves the removal and disassembly of defective parts, assembly and installation of replacement parts, and testing aircraft systems.
Perform Line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers aircrafts.
Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within scope of approval) returning aircraft to service.
Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.
Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR’s and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.
Perform line maintenance duties, activities and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
Current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
Familiar with avionic & electrical systems.
Read schematics and wiring diagrams.
Perform repairs per standard wiring practices.
Experienced in performing continuity and power checks using a Multimeter/Megohmmeter.
Pay:
$30/hour – $42/hour
Work Schedule:
1st Shift: Wednesday – Saturday
2nd Shift: Sunday – Wednesday
Open Days / Nights: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM OR 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM: First 3 days (12 hour days) Forth day (6 hour day).
Placement Options:
Contract to Hire (6 months)
