Job Title: Aircraft TechnicianJob Description
The Aircraft Technician must have a thorough knowledge and ability to maintain, repair, and inspect all parts of the aircraft, including engines, propellers, landing gear, hydraulic equipment, radio and radar instruments, and airframes. This position requires the technician to work on all parts of the aircraft, unlike commercial mechanics who often specialize in working on an isolated part of the aircraft. The technician will inspect, repair, overhaul, upgrade, clean, and paint aircraft, and provide general and routine maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations and aircraft manufacturers recommendations. Detailed records of all work conducted, inspections performed, conditions found, and safety compliance must be maintained.
Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic routine inspections to ensure continued safety and proper working condition of flight equipment.
- Prepare, inventory, and record aircraft parts and components to prevent corrosion, failure, and misuse.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, electricity charts, and instructional manuals.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, care, and accounting of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Comply with company policy and procedures as contained in the company manual.
- Travel as needed to repair aircraft at stations other than the maintenance base.
Essential Skills- Experience with King Air, Beechcraft, Cessna, Aircraft, Airframe, Repair, Aircraft maintenance, Line maintenance, Jet, Corporate aircraft, citation.
- Troubleshooting experience.
- General Aviation experience.
- A&P License or Airframe License is a plus.
- Basic mechanic tools (larger and more expensive tools are provided).
- Valid, unrestricted Drivers License.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Manual dexterity to manipulate hand and power tools.
- Physical ability to frequently walk, stretch, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform service operations in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.

Work Environment
The position is located in Statesville, NC, within a small start-up team. The work will be conducted in two hangars located in Greensboro and Statesville, with a headcount of about 30 employees. The role is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional hours, including weekends, as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00
