Mission
Simulator maintenance technician on apprenticeship contract
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The degree of autonomy must be controlled by the supervisor, the apprentice will move from the status of observer of the maintenance technician to that of actor and will assume the position in its entirety.
Provide support to the maintenance team on preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of simulators.
Collect data and prepare reports if necessary
General hardware and software troubleshooting
Document processes
Provide administrative support to the department
Software review and documentation
Qualifications and Training Requirements
Bachelors degree student (DUT, BAC+2) in computer science, electronics and/or aeronautics
Basic understanding of operating system, application, network and hardware installation and maintenance procedures and techniques.
Understanding the Microsoft Windows operating system
Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions.
Ensure good relationships with all partners
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities and safety
The Apprentice must comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures.
He will be responsible for the proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in whatever form, he shall not disclose any information or allow access to other employees who do not need to know and shall not must not disclose information outside the company without management approval.
All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company-provided resources.
Working environment
The work is carried out in an industrial and office environment. This role regularly uses measuring equipment and tools and also with standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, filing cabinets and fax machines
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to use personal computers and communicate by telephone.
Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl on the ground if necessary
Willingness to learn new procedures and applications
Manual dexterity to use computers or other standard office equipment; and reaching with hands and arms.
