Ready for a fast-paced helicopter maintenance career? We now have an opening for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to support one of our locations. Air Evac Lifeteam, one of the fastest-growing air-medical transportation companies in the U.S., is looking for an Aviation Mechanic who is dedicated to safe aircraft maintenance.
Air Evac Lifeteam is an industry leader that provides life extending air and ground medical services through the rapid transport of the critically ill and injured. We are renowned for state-of-the-art helicopter equipment, a safety-first culture, and successful patient missions.
Our A&P Mechanics support the daily maintenance of the helicopters in their area. They also perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, rotors and appliances. Our Maintenance team maintains our helicopters to the highest standards possible. This opening is for an Area Mechanic.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of helicopter maintenance
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)
- Valid and current Driver’s License
- Avionics troubleshooting knowledge and basic electrical repair experience.
- Heavy maintenance inspection experience
- Aircraft records systems knowledge.
- Aircraft maintenance planning experience.
- Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
- Ability to perform scheduled and unscheduled helicopter maintenance
- Ability to travel and assist in the maintenance of company aircraft and equipment, as needed
- Capable of lifting 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid and current FAA Inspection Authorization
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, and of EMS aviation practices and requirements.
- Maintenance experience with the AS350, Bell 206, Bell 407, and EC130 aircraft.
