Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assembler Operator. The primary responsibility of an Assembly Operator is to attach small, lightweight details to larger sub-assemblies.  These small attachments are typically thin leaf seals, inserts, studs, nut-plates and small details no larger than 6 inches and weighing less than one pound.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Must be educated and trained in the use of all assembly tools such as special wrenches and sockets, torque wrenches and a selection of sanding equipment.
  • Must be able to read prints and interpret engineering instructions and job specific work instructions.
  • Must be able to use inspection equipment including micrometers, dial calipers to measure dimensions that are generated during assembly. Should be comfortable using small manual machines for HyFill Wind and Balancing shafts.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment desired.
  • Experience using hand measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers is desired.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fine motor skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
