Job Title: Aircraft Assembly TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking technicians for our gear shop. Ideal candidates will have an automotive experience from an automotive service center, or be an entry-level A&P mechanic. We also welcome individuals from the military who have worked on aircraft or vehicles. Under the direction of the Production Shop Supervisor, the Gear Technician will service aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement at the component/depot level using manuals and other data. This position requires strong mechanical ability and great attention to detail. A Gear Technician must be willing to accomplish both repetitive and unfamiliar tasks on a regular basis with the use of aviation repair manuals.
Responsibilities
- Service aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
- Perform parts replacement at the component/depot level using manuals and other data.
- Utilize strong mechanical skills and attention to detail to accomplish tasks.
- Regularly perform both repetitive and unfamiliar tasks using aviation repair manuals.
Essential Skills- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Landing gear maintenance
- Wire harness assembly
- Experience with micrometers and calipers
- Ability to use aviation repair manuals
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1-3 years of experience in backshop aircraft maintenance assembly preferred
- Experience related to hydraulics/pneumatics/wire harness assembly within the automotive industry or military
- No A&P certifications required

Work Environment
Work in a well-equipped gear shop with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position involves working with various tools and manuals to ensure the proper maintenance and servicing of aircraft landing gear components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TITUSVILLE, Florida
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
