Job Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in aviation maintenance technology to students in compliance with FAA, State, and regulatory body requirements.
- Demonstrate proper safety procedures
- See that equipment and/or labs are properly maintained
- Establish and maintain academic and attendance records
- Submit attendance, grades, student evaluation, and all other required documentation and reports per established procedures
- Maintain a neat and orderly classroom or lab
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with class participants.
- Work as a team member with all other instructors
Qualifications:
**Candidates for this position must be of good moral character, have high integrity, and be above reproach as an example to our students.**
- All applicants subject to a pre-employment drug screen
- Must have an FAA A&P certificate.
- Must have 3 or more years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience).
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Prefer prior instructional experience.
- Prefer experience troubleshooting and maintaining a wide variety of aircraft systems.
- Prefer knowledge and understanding of Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) specifically the general subjects required to receive a rating of Airframe or Power Plant.
