Overview of the Role:

As an Avionics Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the avionics and electrical systems of aircraft. This position offers an opportunity to directly contribute to the safety and reliability of flight training operations. Your expertise will ensure that all aircraft systems are functioning seamlessly, supporting our client in delivering high-quality training experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair avionics and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Test and troubleshoot using technical data, including wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
  • Build and repair wiring harnesses with soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Perform 24-month certifications in compliance with part 91.411 and 91.413 regulations.
  • Modify and install avionics systems to enhance aircraft capabilities.
  • Repair aircraft flight simulators to maintain training efficacy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Document all work performed with precision and accuracy.
  • Utilize a basic tool set for various tasks and assignments.
  • Adapt to flexible work hours and all shifts as required by operational needs.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of recent avionics experience required.
  • Experience with part 91.411 and 91.413 tests and recertifications is mandatory.
  • At least one year of experience with Garmin G1000 systems is required.
  • Experience with Piper aircraft and in a certified 145 repair station preferred.
  • Familiarity with AC43.13 standard wiring practices and usage of ground support equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Capability to operate various office and shop equipment as well as company vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring physical flexibility.
