HQ Aero is currently recruiting for CANADIAN STRUCTURE TECHNICIAN in TUCSON, AZ

Responsibilities:
As a Structures Technician, you will be required to:
  • Remove / install aircraft components as required.
  • Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
  • Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
  • Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures and aircraft component repair.
  • Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.
  • Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as required.
  • Inspect confined areas of airframe and assist in providing time estimates as required.
  • Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience.
    • Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
    • CRJ airframe experience a plus.
    • MRO / Heavy Maintenance experience required.
    • Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.
  • Completed Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent Training.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License is required.
  • Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status.
  • Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
  • Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.
Job Type:
  • Full-time, Contract
  • Shift Hours/Schedule: 12 hour shifts 1st shift: 6:30 am – 7:00 pm, 2nd shift: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am; 3 days on with 4 days off 4 days on with 3 days off.
  • Candidate must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available.
  • 10K Rentention Bonus offered.
Essential Job Functions
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be computer proficient.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
