KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design cryogen piping distribution and storage vessels for large systems that consider all the pertinent factors (e.g., Thermal, Vacuum/Pressure, etc.)
- Inform approaches for planning, executing, and validating analyses to enable design maturation & realization
- Integrate mechanical designs with electrical, cryogenic, vacuum, and magnetic systems
- Collaborate with scientists & engineers in a cross functional team environment by documenting & communicating results across a broad array of disciplines, including program management
The annual base salary for this position is $102,000. -$127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 5 years experience designing, analyzing, & maturing cryogenic systems
- US citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance
WE VALUE
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience designing systems utilizing ASME Section VIII
- Experience in the following methods & tools:
- CAD modeling & drawing creation with tools such as Solidworks or equivalent software
- Pressure vessel design with tools such as PV Elite or equivalent software
- Pipe stress analysis utilizing Caesar II or equivalent software
- Experience with:
- Large scale fabrication & installation of large-scale projects
- Liquid Helium systems
