What You Will Do:
Upward Aviation, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Airframe and Powerplant Technician with their Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our team as our Director of Maintenance. In addition to 3 years or more experience, applicants shall be hardworking, and professional to join our caring team of doers. Only applicants with high attention to detail and motivation should apply for this position. This person will work in a general aviation maintenance environment both independently and at times, closely with other technicians on assigned work. This person will also serve as an ambassador of Upward Aviation, Inc. by displaying professionalism and cleanliness and providing expert-level customer service and communication with no surprises.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Computer knowledge to record actions, labor, and parts to accomplish work. As well as office equipment to produce permanent records of maintenance for the customer’s Logbooks.
- Safely move aircraft by hand and or powered tug.
- Perform engine operational and slow/high-speed taxi checks.
- Perform inspections and functional checks in accordance with technical guidance and document findings with written and digital software.
- Initiate parts and material requests required to complete the work.
- Maintain a controlled inventory parts system.
- Use of printed and digitally stored, current technical data.
- Use calibrated tools when required.
- Maintain all shop equipment and tools in serviceable working conditions.
- Maintain compliance with Upward Aviation Maintenance’s processes and procedures.
- Maintain the preservation of all parts during the work process installation and storage.
- Participate in a culture that promotes safety through daily observations, routine audits, safety meetings, training, and documented safety procedures.
- Have knowledge in procedures for use in the event of aircraft accidents, fires, or other emergencies.
- Use advice and comments to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes.
- Willingness to guide and train Aircraft Technician Apprentices.
