OVERVIEW OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

They will be responsible for supporting the safe, legal, and economical maintenance operation of company owned or managed customer aircraft to the highest standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements
- Coordinate with the FAA when adding new aircraft and other related communications
- Communicate with the FBO, charter, & customer service, for a continued successful operation
- Creating a culture of accountability through communication of clear expectations
- Coordinates maintenance events with Operations in a timely manner
- Coaching, leading and providing development opportunities for Aircraft maintenance team members.
- Creating an inclusive and trusted environment where collaboration and communication are key
- Overseeing the scheduling of aircraft repairs, compliance inspections, and ensuring timely and quality completion.
- Promotes safety throughout the organization as mandated through company policies identified by management.
- The primary FAA contact for matters regarding the Maintenance Department as described in this position description.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving contracts related to maintenance assets and outsourced vendors.
- Liaison with outside customers to ensure positive relationships with Sweet Aviation Maintenance.
- Proper storage, parts identification, return, and other parts function are critical to this role.
- Support, Develop, write, and maintain maintenance standard operating procedures and manuals (145, 141, 135, 61, MEL’s).
