We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Maintenance to oversee and ensure the excellence of our maintenance operations.
Position Summary:
The Director of Maintenance (DOM) will be responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance of our helicopter fleet. This role involves managing a team of maintenance professionals, developing and implementing maintenance programs, and ensuring that all aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of airworthiness and safety in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the maintenance team to ensure high standards of performance, safety, and compliance.
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including forecasting and controlling costs.
- Implement and oversee a comprehensive training program for maintenance staff to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Maintenance Operations:
- Develop, implement, and manage maintenance schedules and programs to ensure timely and efficient upkeep of the helicopter fleet.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor and improve the quality and effectiveness of maintenance procedures.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay current with FAA regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to helicopter maintenance.
- Prepare and submit required documentation, reports, and records to regulatory agencies.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of FAA compliance, including inspections, audits, and certifications.
Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Foster a culture of safety and quality within the maintenance team.
- Investigate and resolve any maintenance-related safety issues or discrepancies.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and repair.
Communication & Coordination:
- Collaborate with the flight operations team to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain effective communication with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to support maintenance operations.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on maintenance status, fleet condition, and any issues or concerns.
