Aberdeen Flying Service (AFS) is a full-service FBO in Aberdeen, SD. AFS is seeking a Director of Maintenance (DOM) to plan, coordinate, and control all maintenance operations. 

As the DOM for Aberdeen Flying Service we would like to see an applicant with 3 years of experience as a Director of Maintenance or Director of Quality that has excellent communication skills with various levels of customers both internal and external. This will ensure that you are able to manage the timely revision, accuracy, professionalism and acceptance of all technical publications, maintenance manuals, and company maintenance policies, and the appropriate communication to the FAA.

You will be primarily responsible to negotiate, manage and track aircraft maintenance contracts and programs with OEMs and vendors. A well as use entrepreneurial thinking in an expanding environment. Efficiency in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information when needed will be a very strong asset to our company. 

The ideal candidate will meet all the following:

• Meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 119.71(e) 
• A&P License and IA Certificate required. 
• Experience with FAA and operational guidelines
• Oversees all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Ensures the safety of maintenance employees and workspaces.
• Directs and ensures required training is provided and documented for maintenance personnel/team of A&P’s
• Ensures compliance with quality assurance and safety procedures.
• Repair airframe and engine discrepancies as needed.

The DOM will perform activities in accordance with the General Operating Manual (GOM), General Maintenance Manual (GMM), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations.
