This position is ideal for someone with experience as an Aircraft Manager, Chief Inspector, or Head of Quality looking to take on a director-level role with broader responsibility and strategic influence.
You’ll oversee Silver Air’s quality assurance and inspection programs, manage aircraft conformity, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations. You’ll also lead and mentor a talented team of Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspectors, Conformity Specialists, and Quality Assurance Specialists, who are experts in their craft and passionate about aviation excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesAircraft Conformity and Compliance:
- Lead the conformity process for onboarding aircraft to Silver Air’s Part 135 certificate.
- Ensure all return-to-service (RTS) documentation is accurate and complies with FAA regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison with FAA inspectors for approvals, audits, and certifications.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of inspectors and specialists, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.
- Define team goals, provide clear feedback, and encourage professional growth.
Quality Programs:
- Develop and oversee the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Program (CASP) and internal audit processes.
- Ensure Silver Air’s maintenance and inspection standards exceed FAA and industry benchmarks.
Process Improvement:
- Create and maintain inspection manuals and procedures, ensuring they align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and maintenance trends.
Vendor Collaboration:
- Partner with aircraft maintenance vendors to ensure compliance and timely service delivery.
- Work cross-functionally with Silver Air’s safety, operations, and client teams to meet strategic goals.
Qualifications
Licenses: A&P License required; Inspection Authorization (IA) strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years in private aviation under Part 135 operations.
- Proven success managing aircraft conformity and quality assurance processes.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, MEL programs, and airworthiness compliance.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
