Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Mechanical System Installation Design Engineer (f/m) to join our Installation Mechanical Equipment and Fuel System department based in Marignane, France.
The Installation Mechanical Equipment and Fuel System department is part of the Design and Integration organisation. The team is responsible for the development and installation of external systems as well as the installation of the fuel system on the aircraft. Our activities cover all Airbus Helicopters products, including both commercial and government aircraft, as well as research and development and demonstrators, throughout the entire helicopter life cycle (definition, prototyping and series production, in service). External systems cover the full range of helicopter missions, including public transport, public services, medical transport, police and parapublic missions, search and rescue, military and VIP.
The service is transnational, with teams based in Marignane and Donauwörth. The teams work on projects using agile methods, in collaboration with the structure, vehicle systems, electrical systems and calculation teams, as well as other departments. The team also works with a number of subcontractors and Airbus subsidiaries.

Your challenge
We are looking for a designer at our Marignane site, whose activities and responsibilities will be:
Define and check assembly system installations:
Concept studies
Carrying out 3D studies using the CATIA tool
Checking 2D drawings
Managing design office data using SAP, Windchill and VPM tools.
Drafting documents for qualifications and certifications
Managing development and modification projects, drawing up schedules, identifying the various requirements, defining deliverables, costing costs and charges.
Management of activities with subcontractors, with technical and financial monitoring.
Support for production through non-conformity management (NCM) and support for industrialisation.
Technical support for customer support, definition of customer repairs (RDAS)
In-use incident support, including investigation of major incidents.
Your profile
Experience in parts design and product data management, preferably with CATIA, SAP, Windchill software.
Experience in design change process (ECR/ECP, BNAe, ATA100)
You will be required to: Work in an agile method, take on challenges, be willing to take responsibility, contribute to continuous improvement.
Language: Advanced level in French and advanced level in English
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
