Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Fitter
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Fitter to join our team responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our plant facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, switches, motors, and other related parts as needed.
• Test electrical systems and equipment to identify potential problems and verify proper functioning following repairs or installations.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks based on production needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other tracking tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Assist with the installation, modification, or upgrade of electrical systems and equipment as needed.
• Stay informed about new technologies, tools, and techniques related to electrical maintenance and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience Required:
• A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
• Time served apprenticeship/modern apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3
• City & Guilds part 2 & 3/ONC/HNC in Electrical subject.
• Candidates must have Electrical Maintenance experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.

• Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
• Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
• Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC
