This position will be part of the Lockheed Martin Greenville Support Operations (GSO) Aircraft
Maintenance Team, supporting Depot Level Maintenance of the F-16 at Greenville, South Carolina. Provides support by Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.

Candidate must be knowledgeable in F-16 aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include:

• Landing gear
• Powerplants
• Flight controls
• Disassembly
• Reassembly
• Rigging
• Aircraft movement.


The candidate will be required to:

• Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
• Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally sit, climb, and balance.
• Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
• Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures
• Read and speak English.


Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.

Must be able and willing to work 1st or 2nd shift- Shift will be assigned at onboarding.

Candidate will provide shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications as detailed by the company.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.

The candidate will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

*SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Security Clearance is not required prior to starting position. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must have 3 years of experience on F-16, fighters, or other military aircraft on various aircraft systems operation to include landing gear, flight controls, disassembly, re-assembly, rigging, powerplant, aircraft ground operations and the flight line environment.

- Must have ability to obtain security clearances.
Desired Skills:
•F-16 Crew Chief Experience USAF level 5 or higher

•Heavy Aircraft Mod or Depot Experience

•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes

•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

•High school education or equivalent (GED)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
