F-35 Aircraft Mechanic (temporary to perm)

We have an exciting
opportunity for an Aircraft Structures Mechanic on the F-35 Program
based in Beaufort.
In this position, you
will perform a variety of operations on F-35 to assemble and
make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and
structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts
on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-fitting
operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting,
drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify
dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate
changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with
statistical process or other control procedures.
Note: This is a
temporary position with a scheduled work period of performance from October 12
to November 15, 2019; with the possibility of follow on work after the
first of the year. However, you may be required to start earlier (in Sept
2019) to attend the required, mandatory trainings for working on the F35
aircraft (if you have not taken the required trainings previously).
