Position Overview:

In this role, the candidate will provide daily support of the local F119 fleet, monitor engine life usage, communicate maintenance requirements, plan maintenance activities, ensure engine compliance with USAF and program requirements, and update and ensure accuracy of engine life and maintenance information within Comprehensive Engine Management & Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS, CEMS), and Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) databases.  In addition, this role is responsible for forecasting and reporting of engine/module/component inspections and time changes.

This position is located at Nellis AFB, Nevada.  This position is for 2nd Shift but ability to work 1st or 2nd shift pending customers’ needs is required.

 Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor engine life usage, generate reports, and communicate maintenance requirements.  Ensure all engines comply with maintenance requirements.
  • Develop forecasting and plans for incorporation of product upgrades.  Coordinate with local maintenance team to ensure accomplishment.
  • Ensure engine configuration, life usage, and historical data is maintained and accurate in F119 databases (IMDS, CEMS, IMIS).
  • Generate maintenance plans for engines inducted to the facility.  Gain alignment on plans from key stakeholders and ensure completion to work in accordance with those plans.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years’ experience in maintenance scheduling or engine management for DoD/US Military or similar industry required.
  • Candidates with 6+ years’ maintenance scheduling, or engine management for DoD/US Military, or similar industry experience may be considered in lieu of 4-year degree requirement.
  • 1+ years’ experience with AFI 21-101, IMIS, CEMS/IMDS, or comparable system is required.
  • Willingness to work weekends and alternative shifts occasionally to support business needs.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with F-22/F119 engine, its support systems, and use of Technical Order Data (TOD).
  • Experience as USAF Base Engine Manager or Aircraft Planning & Scheduling.
  • Experience applying strong interpersonal and communication skills with sensitivity to varying cultural norms to lead or facilitate teams to achieve successful results.
  • Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul gas-turbine engine facility experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Programming and Database (Microsoft Access) Experience.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
