Core Responsibilities

  • Work from process travelers and operation sheets to perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aircraft engine components to locate and determine the severity of discontinuities
  • Review test orders to determine type of test required, test procedures, and part acceptability criteria
  • Apply proper agents such as cleaners, penetrants and developers, etc. over part in preparation for testing
  • Follow prescribed procedures for non-destructive testing
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and work area
  • Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • NITEC / Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Precision Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 1 – 2 years experience in an aerospace environment preferred
  • Possess ASNT Level 2 in FPI or NAS 410 Level 2 in FPI of PCN Level 2 in FPI
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Able to interface with all levels of shop floor personnel and engineers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application
