Timberline Helicopters provides utility aviation services. Using proven aircraft, highly experienced crews, a late model ground support fleet, and a “can-do” attitude we endeavor to exceed customer expectations whatever the project. If you need something or someone moved by helicopter, Timberline Helicopters can accomplish the mission anytime and anywhere. At present, Timberline employs approximately 100 people in the following operations:

  • Maintain assigned aircraft (either UH-60, K1200 K-max or CH-47) in airworthy condition, providing written evidence to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of approval for return to service post-maintenance.
  • Helicopter shall be maintained in accordance with all applicable 14 CFR requirements, mandatory manufacturer’s bulletins, and all applicable FAA Airworthiness Directives. All aircraft technical manuals, to include electronic technical data, shall be kept complete and incorporate the latest revisions.
  • Possess requisite knowledge through training, employment history, and/or practical tests to execute assigned tasks.
  • Conduct aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and, as applicable, sign the flight release.
  • Communicate maintenance activities to the main office for recordkeeping.
  • Complete requisite company paperwork such as expense reports and timecards.
  • Coordinate with Director of Maintenance to ensure availability of necessary parts and hardware prior to major maintenance events.
  • Inspect and maintain longlines, remote hooks, and associated equipment.
  • Maintain support equipment (fuel pumps, generators, water pumps, etc.) by performing routine maintenance and alerting Fleet Manager to parts or service needs.
  • Assist ground crews with external load rigging, passenger loading, and other ground duties.
  • Represent the company professionally to customers.
  • Employ effective time management and utilize downtime responsibly during contract jobs
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43, 65, 91, 133, 137 and 145
  • FAA airframe & powerplant license
  • Actively engaged as a certificated FAA airframe & powerplant mechanic for at least 18 months out of the last 24 months.
  • Experience in the UH-60 (H-60 series), K-Max or CH-47 (BV-234 aircraft). 
  • Must hold (or have the ability to obtain within 6 months) a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with Airbrakes. Hazardous Material (Hazmat) endorsement and tanker endorsement.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must be able cardable IAW USFS Helicopter Support Services contracts
Salary Range: NEG-DOE
Travel: 14 days on/14 days off
