Achieves successful on-site servicing, maintenance, and repair of complex Laser Support Equipment (LSE) and systems without direct supervision. You will monitor system status and intervene to perform maintenance or repairs when needed. You will perform trouble shooting of complex systems, identify and correct issues to keep our equipment operating properly in the field.  When needed will interface with the Rocky Research engineers and technicians providing information and data to aid in solving the field issue. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to training guides and documentation. You will achieve continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to operation, maintenance, and repair of the LSE. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, basic repair, and maintenance of the LSE. You will interface with our customer, providing status on equipment operability, maintenance, and repairs. You will cultivate an excellent working relationship with our customer and their customer to ensure customer satisfaction and our position as an excellent supplier.

Key Responsibilities

•OCONUS stationed with the Army, field support of Laser Support Equipment (LSE).
•Ensure proper operation of fielded LSE. Maintenance, repair of and troubleshooting of LSE.
•Field support providing onsite inspection, analysis and data to home-based team to resolve field issues.
•Provide customer with LSE status and maintain excellent customer relationship.
•Inspect for Quality
•Maintain and improve repair, maintenance, records and procedures.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

•High School Diploma, or equivalent.
•Experience in the electrical wiring and assembly procedures.
•Experience with mechanical assembly and procedures
•US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and US passport.

WE VALUE

•Previous experience in a field service position.
•Previous military experience, or experience working with the military.
•Associate degree or certification in Electronics or a related field. Relevant work experience and/or military electronics training
•Proficient in using electronic testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
•Solid understanding of electronic components, circuits, systems and schematics
•Experience with high voltage systems and batteries.
•Knowledge of diesel engines and maintenance.
•Experience with LINUX operating systems.
•Experience with coolant pumping and plumbing systems.
•Experience with refrigerant and HVAC systems.
•Ability to read blueprints and schematics, experience with solidworks a plus
•Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes.
•Bachelors degree or technical/professional certificate
•Good written and oral communication
•General computer experience with programs such as SAP, Excel, Word.
•Valid passport
•Secret clearance
