Summary:
Work in a team-oriented environment to install, assemble, and adjust aircraft parts and system components, ensuring all work meets specifications and passes final inspection.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing basic repairs, and assisting in the mentoring of junior mechanics.
You will use a variety of tools to complete tasks, maintain logs and records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED.
3 years of aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Skilled in close tolerance work (drilling, reaming, fitting parts) and use of special tools.
Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality installations.
Familiarity with tools like hydraulic mule pumps, permaswage pumps, and line cutting tools.
Desired Skills:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
Experience with Manufacturing competencies.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam.
Knowledge of aircraft certification and final phase testing processes.
Ability to mentor junior mechanics and check work for quality assurance.
