Job Description:

Aerotek is seeking qualified flight test mechanics in Torrance, CA. Must have valid A&P license to be considered. Pay range DOE $30-40/hour. Hiring ASAP. Rotary experience preferred but not required.

  • Performs developmental and experimental aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks.
  • Applies shop theory and skills in accomplishing assigned tasks working with engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, process specifications, incomplete engineering data and other technical documentation.
  • Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and flight crews to ensure safe, timely, and efficient completion of assigned work.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to company procedures and policies to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Performs detailed inspections of aircraft systems, components, and structures to identify any issues or potential problems.
  • Diagnoses and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and tests aircraft systems parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

  • Helicopters: R66 Turbine/R66 Turbine Marine, R44 Raven II/R44 Clipper II, R44 Raven I/R44 Clipper I, R44 Cadet/Cadet with Floats, R22 Beta II
  • repair, installation, testing, rigging

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Required: FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) or Inspector Authorization (IA)
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace
  • Experience with fabrication, integration, development, and testing of articles for rotorcraft
  • Prior experience as a flight test technician or aircraft mechanic
  • Machine shop experience
  • Likes prior military experience
  • Basic hand tools
