Summary: 

As a Technician II in Fuel Systems Maintenance, you will be responsible to the Lead and Supervisor of Fuel Systems Maintenance for completing assigned aircraft fuel systems maintenance tasks. You will ensure that all maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations on customer aircraft are performed in accordance with applicable technical data, on schedule, within the estimated or budgeted hours, and to the highest standards of safety and quality workmanship.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Perform aircraft fuel systems removal, repair, installation, test and modification in accordance with acceptable/approved technical data.
  2. Ensure that the maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations performed are signed off on the applicable aircraft records.
  3. Perform troubleshooting of aircraft fuel systems using technical data and analytical troubleshooting techniques.
  4. Perform entry and maintenance in fuel tanks and confined spaces.
  5. Clean, inspect and apply sealants, adhesives and other chemicals in aircraft fuel tanks.
  6. Ensure that areas where fuel work is accomplished are kept in a clean, free of FOD at all times and in an orderly manner.
  7. Perform only that work authorized by the Project Manager or the Supervisor and the Manager of Fuel Systems Maintenance and ensure that the work is performed to the standards of highest standards workmanship required by VT SAA.
  8. Ensure that all tools and equipment used are kept in serviceable condition, stored in an orderly manner and are accounted for after each job.
  9. Exercise control over stock checked out of Stockroom.
  10. Participates in the company’s Continuous Improvement activities
  11. Perform additional duties as required by the Supervisor and Manager of Fuel Systems Maintenance.

Job Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of working experience in the aircraft fuel systems req
  • Part 145 Heavy Maintenance experience preferred

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification is an advantage or specialized training
