SkyQuest Aviation LLC (SQA) is currently seeking a General Aviation (GA) Airframe and Power Plant (A&P). mechanic. The A&P mechanic will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and overhaul Cessna 182T, 206H and 208B aircraft and aircraft systems. Minimum five (5) years' certificated FAA A&P license The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for aircraft maintenance, ground operation and maintenance documentation In Accordance With (IAW) OEM and FAA standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions pertinent to instrumentation, aircraft lighting, power generation and distribution, engine(s), propeller, wheel and tire, environmental, flight control, chip detection, fuel distribution and other aircraft systems
- Performs aircraft ground handling and servicing functions
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft systems and subsystems
- Performs troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft, aircraft systems and sub-systems
- Performs/assists with progressive and annual inspections and assists in returning aircraft to service IAW FAA and OEM processes and procedures
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and associated ground support equipment
- Performs aircraft ground / functional checks, repairs, calibration, and modifications IAW OEM and FAA regulations.
- Removes/installs aircraft components, engines, propellers, etc.
- Makes appropriate logbook entries and signs-off /documents work accomplished
- Performs related records documentation, to include: completing appropriate logbook forms, condition tags, parts tags, change slips in accordance with technical publications, Company procedures, OEM manuals and regulatory agency directives
- Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers’ drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties
- May perform touch-up spot painting
- Completes maintenance documentation accurately using manual (Hardcopy Forms and Records) and Automated Maintenance Management Systems (AMMS) and data entry methods
- Marshals incoming and outgoing aircraft to assist pilot’s in the maneuvering of aircraft
- Researches parts, service bulletins, FAA circulars, etc.
- Performs other duties as required
