Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including the ability to interpret related schematics and troubleshooting charts.
- Technical expertise encompassing welding (stick and MIG), auto body repair, and general maintenance procedures, along with familiarity with maintenance-related computer
- Knowledge of basic automotive and mechanical principles, with a specific focus on the operation and maintenance of aircraft ground support equipment (GSE), such as Aero-Tec heaters, deicer trucks, and cargo loaders."
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a maintenance setting, along with understanding of relevant licensing requirements, including Alaska traffic laws and CDL regulations (Class B CDL and Medical certificate preferred)
- Skilled at interpreting and communicating technical information, including written documents, oral instructions, diagrams, and schedules, as well as providing clear written and verbal reports.
- Skilled in the safe operation of various vehicles, from standard motor vehicles (valid Alaska drivers license) to large vehicles (CDL Class B preferred)
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft applications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Alaska drivers license required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Five years of hands-on maintenance experience (or equivalent education), with preferred experience in Aero-Tec heaters, deicer trucks, cargo loaders, forklifts, auto body repair, and welding

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Most work is performed in a warehouse type setting or outdoors.
- May be exposed to adverse weather conditions (cold and heat), wet surfaces and icy conditions.
- May be exposed to high noise levels, dirt, dust, fumes, etc.
- Will be working around stationary and moving aircraft and aircraft ground equipment
- Ability to perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position in a safe and effective manner including lifting up-to 70 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs.
- The ability to utilize personal tools to complete required maintenance tasks
- Use of personal protective equipment may be required
