Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Department: Hangar Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Lead A&P Mechanic

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Troubleshoot aircraft systems and repair in accordance with approved data.
  2. Remove and replace all parts using approved data.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of aircraft systems.
  4. Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with no rework.
  5. Follow FAA and company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Must possess an A&P or A Certificate and will work on 727, 737, 747, 777, MD11, DC10 aircraft experience.
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US.

Job Title: Powerplant Mechanic

Department: Power Plant Division

Reports To: Building Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Follow all Kalitta Air and FAA policies and procedures

2. Working with little or no supervision and accomplishing assignments with little or no rework.

3. Reading and interpreting Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Safety Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, and blueprints involving various repairs, parts locations, and replacement.

4. Troubleshooting aircraft systems and repairing in accordance with approved data.

5. Removing and replacing all parts using the approved data.

6. Demonstrating knowledge of aircraft systems.

7. Following safety rules and procedures.

8. Always Keep the work areas clean and neat.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanic certificate with “P” rating.
  • Possess a working knowledge of powerplant systems and theory.
  • Essential functions including special requirements or conditions and MUST have a current passport for out of the country travel.
  • Preferred qualifications that may include prior experience, certifications, etc.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be honest, trustworthy and able to maintain confidential information. Good interpersonal skills required.

Job Title: Line MX Mechanic

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Line MX Lead

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Troubleshoot and repair aircraft, powerplants, components, and structure.
  2. Read and interpret all maintenance instructions such as: AMMs, SRMs, WDMs, IPCs, EAs, routine task cards, etc., as applicable.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair discrepancies as necessary, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with approved maintenance data.
  4. Ensure that all work is performed and documented in accordance with Kalitta Air and FAA requirements.
  5. Ensure that any discrepancies identified during the performance of a maintenance task are documented.
  6. Follow all Kalitta Air and FAA policies and procedures.
  7. Follow all Kalitta Air safety rules and procedures. Ensure that any identified safety related deficiencies are brought to the company’s attention.
  8. Always keep a neat and clean work area.
  9. Any other duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor, or Foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends & days off.
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school graduate; 5 years min. experience in maintenance and repair on commercial category aircraft. Engine run qualified preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have ability to read, write and understand spoken English. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
