- Minimum of 10 years of experience in helicopter maintenance, including at least 7 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience with H-1 helicopters is a must.
- Proven leadership and management capabilities.
- Expertise in helicopter maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, or equivalent military certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance – if required.
- Flexibility to work various hours and be available for on-call duties as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:
- This position will be based at MCAS Camp Pendleton, CA. You will work on the hangar floor and occasionally in hangar or workshop settings, where noise levels and physical activity can vary.
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing for long periods, bending, walking around aircraft work areas, and working in various physical positions.
- Mid-level noise is normal for working around the Depot Level Maintenance area and turning aircraft.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, and squatting, including working overhead.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line.
- Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
- If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
- If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
- If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
- Travel may be required.
