Site Overview:

For more than 40 years, our advanced facilities in Singapore have led aerospace innovation across Asia Pacific. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60 of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:

  • Prepare the sample for mechanical testing

  • Prepare the sample for metallurgical evaluation

  • Operate and maintain metallurgical Lab equipment

  • Adhere to laboratory procedures when operating Lab equipment

  • Perform incoming inspection of controlled material if required

  • Liaise with vendor on externally provided metallurgical service

  • Ensure all external metallurgical service quotation, purchase order and certificate be delivered timely

  • Work with Engineering for NPI metallurgical evaluation and analysis

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior Experience in Measurement Inspection

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 3 years of relevant experience

  • Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Materials/Quality Assurance Engineering; or Diploma in Mechanical/Materials/Quality Assurance Engineering

  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in material science and interpretation of microstructure

  • Experience in laboratory sample/specimen preparation and evaluation
