Job Title: QC Inspector
Employment location: New Castle, DE
Job Summary:
The role of the QC Inspector is to ensure that the site quality routines including aircraft inspections are followed and company's integrated management systems is maintained. This is through promotion of statutory and company Quality & Safety procedures, regular auditing, and assisting in reviewing processes and documentation. All whilst championing safe working practices, complying with, and promoting positive environmental actions.
Responsibilities:
Quality:
• Promote and support quality improvement initiatives and standard practices across the site.
• Manage all audits, internally & externally and ensure timely management and closure of any NCRs.
• Carry out regular internal audits of quality procedures and job packs.
• Assist with warranty claims; customer response, controls, investigation and monitoring of monthly data for KPI reporting.
• Manage inspections of processes and paint inspections.
• Preparation of Job Packs and associated documentation for the input Health & Safety:
• Carry out regular safety audits. Ensure encouragement and education of the importance of safety procedures being followed.
• Monitor adherence to workplace health & safety, wearing of PPE & RPE, and supporting in the corrective actions where required for improvements within production team.
Environment:
• Carry out regular internal environmental audits and support external inspections.
• Promote best practices within the team.
• Manage and ensure compliance of the sites' environmental permits. Training:
• Preparation and delivery of topical toolbox (ad-hoc) General:
• Informs all personnel of the directives issued by management and ensures full communication and commitment across all parties onsite.
• Take part in the different management review meetings when required.
• Embeds company's core values across all personnel working within the unit.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong auditing experience (ISO9001, 14001)
• Experience in delivering training
• Manufacturing environment experience
• Aviation industry experience
• Able to prioritize own workload and work on own initiative
• Confident and effective communicator, willing to challenge
• Strong relationship and team working skills
• Excellent administration skills with a strong attention to detail
• Fluent in English
