JetRight Aviation Maintenance – AOG/Airline Technician
Job Description:

Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Technicians are responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and utilization of resources based upon operational requirements. The highest priority will be placed on out of service aircraft to obtain all required components and resources necessary to return the aircraft to revenue service in the shortest amount of time possible. Coordination will be critical in the communication required to minimize the impact on the overall operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Initiate the forms associated with performing work at a location other than the repair station.
  • Respond to AOG, Drop-in, and Airline work requests.
  • Initiate Work Orders and verify that they are maintained, stored properly and readily accessible once the work is complete.
  • Ensure that parts are appropriately designated, labeled and stored as delineated in the appropriate manual.
  • Determine whether the requested maintenance, preventive maintenance or alteration on articles received for work can be accomplished within the applicable maintenance data, despite any other damage or discrepancies noted.
  • Ensure air carrier duty time limitations are not exceeded.
  • Maintain time tracking on a daily basis.
  • Request purchase requirements for materials, parts, goods and services.
  • Post and update the Maintenance Journal daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  •  At least 2 years of experience in Aircraft Materials and Logistics or a related field in the industry
  • Possess familiarity with industry standards, General Maintenance Manuals, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and Air Transport Association (ATA) coding
  • Some on call duties as required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in Part 135 and 145 operations
  • FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) license
  • Project Management Experience

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Demonstrated experience with high-level, critical, analytic and strategic thinking
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent observation skills
  • Possess excellent analytical and math skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office and lotus notes preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Standing/walking for short distances: up to two hours on hard surfaces.
  • Sitting: up to six hours.
  • Lifting/Carrying: occasionally, up to 20 pounds for up to 200 feet; rarely, up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet.
  • On call / Call out schedule
