Job Description:
1)Performs 50 hour, 100 hour, annual and progressive inspections, maintenance and repair of aircraft (scheduled maintenance).

2)Reviews work orders, aircraft records and related documents for completeness and accuracy.

3)Assumes responsibilities of Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor in their absence or when designated by the Aircraft Maintenance Manager or higher authority.

4)Research and comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives and regulatory requirements.

5)Perform preventative maintenance and un-scheduled maintenance (discrepancies), including troubleshooting and repair of inoperative equipment. Able to utilize troubleshooting procedures and interpret aircraft schematics. Able to determine correct manufacturer part numbers for replacement of parts.

6)Determine time life limits for aircraft components.

7)Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and all UND Aerospace standard operating procedures.

8)Coordinate with UND Aerospace maintenance, safety, and flight operations personnel to identify hazards and reduce risk to the lowest practical level and to promote a culture of safety.

9)Assists the site maintenance manager in maintaining and securing parts inventory in Phoenix in accordance with Inventory Control Procedures at UND Aerospace.

10)Performs duties of Aircraft Technician.

11)Must be willing to work variable shifts.

12)Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
This position Requires:
-Airframe and Powerplant certificate with inspection authorization.

-Minimum of 3 years’ technical experience and meet the currency requirements of FAR Part 65.83.

-Able to perform the duties of FAR 145 Repair Station Inspector.

-Thorough working knowledge of all federal regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance.

-Ability to maintain good working relationship with customers, co-workers and FAA agencies.

-Good written and verbal communication skills.

-Drug and alcohol testing as required by UND Aerospace Anti-Drug Program

-Valid driver’s license.

-Ability to move and lift bulky or heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
 

This position Prefers:
-Prefer at least 1 year supervisory experience.

-Prefer Cessna single and Piper single and multiengine experience.

-Prefer previous formal course work in maintenance management, or related area.

 
Salary Range: 54000-56500
