The "Life Management" team deals with low-cycle fatigue strength and fracture mechanics of rotating parts in aircraft engines. This position includes responsibility for managing and performing all tasks related to:- analytical support for the production and repair of rotating parts- analytical support for servicing rotating parts- analyses related to the certification of rotating parts,- strength and fracture analyses of rotating parts.Working in the Life Management team also provides an excellent opportunity to develop and increase specialist knowledge through cooperation with other teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute with minimal guidance rotor life projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Initiate and execute life analysis reviews and internal project reviews within internal procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
  • Implement plans to achieve technical requirements, prepare schedules and contract commitments, coordinate and supervise teams providing sub-analyses.
  • Provide analysis support for repair/production/field/service etc. life analyses as needed.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Engineering
  • Very good understanding of structural strength, stress distribution
  • Significant experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise
  • Very good understanding of technical aspects of mechanical design & analysis
  • Project management skills
  • Strong experience in engineering work
