Our facility specializes in Business Aviation, focusing on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cell.
Join our team as a Lead Mechanic in our Engine Shop, where you will oversee a specialized group of mechanics dedicated to servicing and overhauling HTF7000 engines (all models). The Lead Mechanic ensures top-notch maintenance, quality assurance, and team leadership. This position requires hands-on expertise, technical guidance, and direct customer interaction to ensure aircraft maintenance is completed on time and meets the highest standards.
What to expect in this role:
Inspection and Testing
- Conduct initial inspections and operational tests on engines and components.
- Identify discrepancies and perform maintenance.
- Run functional and operational checks to ensure airworthiness.
Dismantling and Repair
- Remove and evaluate engine components for serviceability.
- Perform repairs, scheduled maintenance, and modifications as required.
Reassembly and Testing
- Ensure parts are ready for reassembly.
- Reinstall components, perform operational checks, and execute engine runs.
- Document and sign off work per FAA standards.
Management
- Follow technical manuals and manufacturer data for inspections and repairs.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction and timely aircraft delivery.
- Monitor project hours, costs, and quality.
- Coordinate with other departments to maintain a seamless customer experience
Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide a team of technicians.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth workflow.
- Train and mentor A&P Mechanics, fostering skill development.
Basic Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic working with Honeywell’s HTF7000 product line
- Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of A&P Mechanic experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with Honeywell HTF7000 engines.
- Experience with other Honeywell Engine and APU product lines.
- Proven ability to interact with and resolve customer concerns.
- Experience in heavy and light maintenance, service bulletins, and troubleshooting.
- Strong team-building, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
