Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. In your role, you will
• Participate in the process of writing and maintaining Technique (method) sheets for the testing of components, and to liaise with level 3 Technician.
• Understand and apply the company and industry statutory operational specifications for the evaluation of landing gear components, flap tracks, and carriages
• Test and verify the condition of a diverse range of components passing through the NDT area, and to perform these in a timely manner
• Be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
• Maintain a good level of NDT knowledge, prepare for assessments and examinations as required.
• Work and contribute to the team within the area, managing their individual certification to keep it current and valid Attending internal and external training courses, as required, to maintain and develop the relevance of their certification
• Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Production or Section Manager
• Interface with production departments
• Attend meetings as required
• Constantly monitor operating methods in order to facilitate both qualitative and qualitative improvements in the service provided to the customer
• Maintain full and effective liaison with all departments which are affected directly or indirectly by the assigned area of responsibility
• Work within established company policies, procedures and agreements.
• Have an awareness of the major accident prevention plan (MAPP)
• Have an awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures.
• Be required to train personnel within a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience

• You have Eddy Current L2 (as required)
• You have Magnetic Particle Inspection L2 (as required)
• You have Liquid (Dye) Penetrant L2 (as required)
• You have Ultrasonic Testing L2 (as required)
• You are able to travel and support Bombardier internationally.
• You oversee L1 and other NDT Trainees and sign off hours.
• You have good IT user knowledge (e.g. SAP or similar business software, Microsoft Office Excel)
• You have basic knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements and other applicable aviation regulation
• You have knowledge of Health and Safety working practice
• You are able to communicate fluently in English both written and verbal.
• You are educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
• You are a good communicator- ability to communicate with staff on business, and other issues that affect the business.
• You have good planning, organization and administration skills, PC literate
• You are able to maintain performance under pressure
• You have the ability to make decisions
• You have a profound level of problem-solving skills
• You are able to communicate with all levels of Management.
• You have willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets.
